My Story...

It all started the moment I opened my first comic book. The story told within the artwork captivated me, and from that moment on, I spent countless hours drawing the characters I loved to read about. Art classes quickly became my obsession, and in high school I entered a writing and visual storytelling program through IUP. At the end of the course, all the students’ works were displayed and voted on. I won!

During my teenage years, I designed flyers, certificates, and other promotional items for my youth group. After graduating high school, I entered the world of retail, working my way up from associate to Store Manager. That role taught me the value of customer service and communication, skills that continue to shape my creative process today. Eventually, I returned to school to pursue Graphic Arts, completing several internships, including six months as an artist for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

After graduating from Oakbridge Academy, I began working with clients to bring their stories to life through visual design. From creating covers for authors, building a website for the Duquesne Dukes Hockey Team, and providing creative support for bridal shops and church ministries, I developed a passion for helping each client communicate clearly with their audience. Along the way, I also completed my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts and Biblical Studies.

Most recently, I launched Inked and Etched, a venture that blends painting and laser engraving into one-of-a-kind pieces of art. Each creation begins with vibrant layers of color on wood or canvas and is then enhanced with intricate laser etching, bringing out stunning details and textures. This project has allowed me to merge my love for traditional artistry with modern technology, creating artwork that is both innovative and timeless.

I continue to see my artistic journey as a lifelong pursuit.  One filled with challenges, growth, and new opportunities to connect with people through visual storytelling. Thank you for taking the time to learn about my work.
